A consultation is required to determine suitability. If a lesion appears suspicious, biopsy and laboratory testing may be recommended.
We treat benign moles, skin tags, cysts, lipomas, warts and other non-cancerous lesions. Suspicious lesions may require biopsy.
Procedures are carried out under local anaesthetic. You may feel mild pressure, but pain is usually minimal.
Most minor surgical procedures take between 20 and 45 minutes, depending on complexity.
Some excisions require sutures. If stitches are placed, a follow-up appointment will be arranged for removal.
If clinically indicated, tissue samples can be sent to a laboratory for histology testing.
Most patients can resume normal daily activities shortly after the procedure, unless advised otherwise.
