Miss Sammartino is a Consultant General Surgeon with experience in both NHS and private practice. She provides outpatient and minimally invasive treatments for haemorrhoids, including eXroid electrotherapy.
In addition to clinical practice, she contributes to medical education and research, with over 40 publications in peer-reviewed journals and involvement in training and mentoring junior doctors.
Her clinical expertise includes proctology (haemorrhoids, anal fissures, anal fistulae, pilonidal disease, anal skin tags, inflammatory bowel disease and constipation), minor skin surgery including removal of lipomas and sebaceous cysts, and CO₂ laser procedures.
